Meet Dr. Gregory Hoeltzel

Dr. Hoeltzel, a graduate of Washington University, also serves as the President of the Washington University Dental Association. He is distinguished by his other professional involvements, such as his position on the Health Care Council of the American Association of Orthodontists as well as his extracurricular passion for music.

Dr. Gregory Hoeltzel

Dr. Gregory Hoeltzel, a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics, has been closely associated with Washington University where he received his Bachelor of Science and Doctor of Dental Surgery degrees. After completion of his orthodontic residency, he served as Associate Professor in the School of Dental Medicine. Dr. Hoeltzel was appointed President of the Washington University Dental Alumni Association and continues to serve on its Executive Board.

Dr. Hoeltzel is on staff at St. Luke’s Hospital where he works with the Cleft Palate Team.  A Fellow of the International College of Dentists, he has served as an examiner for the specialty of orthodontics on the Missouri State Dental Board.  Dr. Hoeltzel is also an instructor for the Board’s Expanded Function Program, and serves on the Health Care Council of the American Association of Orthodontists.  Dr. Hoeltzel’s clinical research work has been published in the American Journal of Dento-Facial Orthopedics.

Dr. Hoeltzel is also a musician. As a college student his group had a top 40 national hit.  He currently focuses on jazz piano performance. Greg and his wife Jane have four adult children and four grandchildren.
